Cold brew coffee is created by steeping medium-to-coarse ground coffee in room temperature water for 12 hours or longer. Next is filtering out the grounds for a clean cup without sediment. Turk’s Head cold brew is just one more way to enjoy the coffee you already know and love in a new and refreshing way!
Perks of cold brew!
- Is it less acidic than hot coffee
- It is smooth, slightly sweet, and extremely refreshing
- Simple and easy to prepare in advance for those hectic weekday mornings
Things you will need
- 1 cup (8 ounces) of your favorite ground Turk’s Head Coffee
- 3 cups of water
- Common one quart mason jar, or any large container
- Another container to filter the coffee into
Step by step instructions
-First you are going to want to choose your favorite Turks Head Roast, a personal favorite of ours for this process would be our classic French roast!
-Next you are going to want to grind your coffee (unless it is already ground.)
-Now go ahead and pour the 1 cup (8 ounces) of ground coffee into your container
-The next step is to pour your 3 cups of water into the container with the coffee and stir the ingredients together.
-Leave the coffee in the fridge to steep for about 12-18 hours.
-After that time’s passed, you will want to strain the coffee mixture into another container, leaving all of the coffee grinds behind and revealing your refreshing cold brew. Keep in fridge unless serving.
-Whenever you are ready to drink your homemade cold brew, we recommend diluting it with water about half and half, and serving over ice.
-The final step is to enjoy your refeshing Turk’s Head Cold Brew creation!
